For the photoshoot of our Dolan Collection, we wanted to capture the essence of Uyghur culture while highlighting the modern aesthetics of our brand. We decided to embrace iconic elements of a traditional Uyghur home—specifically, the gilam (carpet), kopa (mattress), and yastuk (pillow). These items are not just functional; they are rich with intricate embroidery and patterns, each piece telling a unique story and adding a personal touch to the home.
The beauty of these handcrafted pieces lies in their detailed artistry. The vibrant colours and bold patterns, which might seem striking in today’s modern world, are a true reflection of Uyghur culture. To contrast this traditional richness, we chose a sleek, contemporary studio space for the photoshoot.
