At Madina Taklamakan, every collection tells a story, and Dolan is no exception. Inspired by elegance, tradition, and modern modest fashion, this collection is a tribute to the beauty of effortless sophistication.
The Inspiration
The name Dolan comes from deep cultural roots, representing a blend of strength, grace, and timeless style. We wanted to create a collection that embodies these quality pieces that feel luxurious yet practical, bold yet refined.
Dolan People
The Dolan people are a group from Uyghurs, mainly residing in the Taklamakan Desert area. Their lifestyle is traditionally nomadic, with many people engaging in agriculture and pastoralism. The Dolan people have a long history of adapting to the harsh desert environment, and their culture includes specific forms of music, dance, and art. Some aspects of their culture, including clothing and family life, are influenced by Islam, as the majority of Dolan people are Muslim.
Products
The Anjur Jacket draws its inspiration from the rich color of figs, creating a deep, earthy tone that captures the essence of this beloved fruit.
The Gilas Cardigan is named after the Uyghur word for cherry, with its bold, vibrant red echoing the lively pop of the fruit, set against the intricate Etles pattern.
The Anar Top celebrates the vibrant red of pomegranates, embodying their richness and energy in a stunning red hue.
Finally, the Tavuz Green Top, named after the Uyghur word for watermelon, brings to life the refreshing green of the fruit, offering a fresh and lively addition to the collection.
